- A relatively new breed, created in the 1900s.
- They are native breed from the Netherlands
- You can breed a first-generation one from crossing a Groningen and a Gelderlander.
- They are one of the world's best competition breeds. In fact, Moorlands Totilas was one.
- They are usually grey, bay, chestnut, black, pinto, or palomino in color and tend to stand between 15.2 hands high and 17.3 hands high.
- They are a strong, athletic breed known for their calm temperament.
- A Dutch Warmblood stallion named Brego played Aragorn’s steed in all three Lord of the Rings movies. ’s steed in all three Lord of the Rings movies.
